Benji Radach vs. "Ninja" Rua on CBS Main Card

Ex-IFL middleweight standout Benji Radach was one of the last big names to jump ship from the failed company and he landed himself a spot on the main card of EliteXC’s third installment of “Saturday Night Fights”. He will be facing the older brother of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, PRIDE veteran Murilo “Ninja” Rua when the action starts on Oct. 4th in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Radach will be coming into this fight after being out of action since December of last year. He lost fought Matt Horwich and lost via knockout. As we previously reported on Fightline, Radach suffered a neck injury during training shortly after his loss to Horwich. Radach was riding a five-fight win streak prior to his loss to Horwich and is 18-4 overall.

Murilo “Ninja” Rua (16-8-1) is coming into this fight fresh off a win against the previously undefeated Tony Bonello. He has faced top-tier competition in his PRIDE days such as Dan Henderson, Paulo Filho, and Quinton Jackson.

Currently, the main card of “Saturday Night Fights III” looks like this:

-Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson vs. Ken Shamrock

-Jake Shields vs. Paul Daley (for EliteXC welterweight title)

-Benji Radach vs. Murilo “Ninja” Rua

-Gina Carano vs. Kelly Kobold-Gavin

-Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos vs. Yoko Takahashi
