The “New York Badass” Phil Baroni, who has had a very busy 2008, has been added to the Palace Fighting Championship’s card taking place in Lemoore, Calif. on September 26.
Baroni is expected to be fighting former WEC figher Olaf Alfonso in the welterweight division at PFC 10.
The former PRIDE, UFC, and ICON fighter Baroni will be coming into the fight on a two-fight winning streak. He recently defeated Ron Verdadero by TKO in round one just over a week ago and knocked out Scott Jansen in round one at Cage Rage 27. Prior to those wins Baroni had lost two straight including a one-minute TKO at the hands of Joey Villasenor on EliteXC’s debut on primetime television on May 31.
PFC 10 is also slated to feature a lightweight title defense by PFC champion Brian Cobb, who will be taking on Lance Wipf. Also scheduled to fight are WEC bantamweights Antonio Banuelos, Charlie Valencia, and Del Hawkins.
