With Fedor Emelianenko vs. Andrei Arlovski already in tow, this according to Emelianenko himself, Affliction is now turning it’s attention to a proven American headliner to pack even more star power into their second PPV set to take place on Oct. 11 in Las Vegas, NV.
According to Yahoo! Sports MMA free agent Tito Ortiz will face off against Renato “Babalu” Sobral in what will be a co-main event at Affliction’s next card.
Tom Atencio also stated that the company will hold a press conference on Aug. 6 in Las Vegas to announce further details regarding the fight card.
Babalu recently called out Ortiz after his unanimous decision victory over Mike Whitehead at Affliction: Banned.
“I want Tito Ortiz,” Babalu told Tatame.com. “I’m going after that motherfucker, I’ll fuck him (laughs)… But let (Affliction) sign him first.”
