On a recent radio show broadcast from his home city of Albuquerque, Keith Jardine has announced he will be fighting Brandon “The Truth” Vera at the UFC’s October 18th event in Birmingham, England.
Jardine was last seen getting destroyed by Wanderlei Silva at UFC 84 in a bout that lasted only 36 seconds. Before that the Greg Jackson trained light heavyweight won a unanimous decision victory over Chick Liddell.
Brandon Vera will be returning after a lackluster victory over UFC newcomer Reese Andy. Prior to the unanimous decison win over Andy, Vera was coming off of a first round TKO loss to Fabricio Werdum and a unanimous decision loss to former UFC champ Tim Sylvia.
The fight is essentially a must-win for both men, as the UFC’s 205lb. division is incredibly stacked.
Although the fight has not yet been confirmed by UFC officials, it appears to be only a matter of time.
