On August 23rd MMA fighter and WWE Tough Enough champ Daniel Puder (www.danielpuder.com) is extending MMA fans a rare invitation to the world famous Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. Puder is the spokesman for the event beneficiary Cops Care Cancer Foundation, an organization that provides financial assistance to children and their families who have been stricken with cancer. Expected to attend are a number of A-list fighters including Chuck Liddell, Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields. For a basic $750 ticket ($650 for fire and law enforcement, $500 for women) guests can enjoy a Bunny Tour of the historic mansion, a dip in the grotto, a fashion show featuring Puder’s ‘Knockouts,’ an auction, a comedy show, all-girl wrestling courtesy the NWWL and more. The event is hosted by Playboy’s Amanda ‘Dream’ Evans with special guests Bobbi Billard and DJ Ladytribe. Tickets are available for purchase at www.puderpro.com.
The current plan for the EliteXC – CBS/Showtime show next week is for the Shayna Baszler – Cristiane Santos women’s fight to open the CBS show. Antonio Silva vs. Justin Eilers in a five round fight to determine the first heavyweight champion, Wilson Reis vs. Brian Caraway and Rafael Feijao’s fight would be on Showtime. The obvious problem is that the Showtime card starts at 8 pm and is only an hour, with CBS starting at 9 pm. If all the fights on Showtime go the distance, there is no way they can start on CBS on time.
The announce team of Gus Johnson, Mauro Ranallo, Frank Shamrock and Karyn Bryant will announce both the Showtime and CBS broadcasts.
