WILMINGTON, MA — Last Friday night marked the third show for the World Championship Fighting promotion. The event, promoted by Joseph Cavallaro who is a personal friend of Dana White, boasted eight professional MMA fights and a pre-show autograph session with several UFC stars.
One of those stars was Massachusetts native and “TUF” alumni Joe Lauzon, who disclosed to Fightline.com that his next opponent would be Team Voodoo’s Kyle Bradley. The New Orleans native and teammate of Rich Clementi was last seen in the the UFC in February, when he was dismantled by Chris Lytle in 33 seconds.
Lauzon’s last appearance in the octagon was against lightweight title contender and fellow “TUF” alum, Kenny Florian. Lauzon lost that bout in the second round via referee stoppage due to strikes.
Lauzon and Bradley are rumored to be fighting at “Ultimate Fight Night 15″, which will be held in Omaha, Nebraska in September.
