ProElite And CBS Reach A Deal To Bring MMA Onto Prime-Time Network TV

According to MMAJunkie, sources within the industry have informed them that ProElite (EliteXC) will announce a deal with CBS to put MMA on a major network for the very first time. Apparently, the deal has been reached and is final.

The deal will include broadcasts of live EliteXC events in prime-time slots every other month. The official announcement and more details are forthcoming.

This move basically ends talk of the UFC getting a deal with CBS. The two had been in serious discussions for over a month with rumors flying around that UFC 80 would be broadcast live for free on the network giant.
