Yesterday we reported that The Ultimate Fighter contestant Dorian Price had been released from his UFC contract. Today we have received news that Price has officially signed with White Chocolate Management. White Chocolate Management recognized Dorian’s great potential and had him flown into Miami to sign him this week.
“Dorian is a diamond in the rough” stated Reed Wallace, WCM’s president who was with WCM’s Olympic Gold Medal hopeful for Beijing 2008 Adler Volmar, USA’s #1 heavyweight in Judo. “We sat down at the table and Dorian ordered a cheeseburger, fries and sprite. We couldn’t believe what we heard. I was chuckling to myself at what WCM’s conditioning coach and chief dietician Rob Garcia ( Oscar De La Hoya and Diego Sanchez’s conditioning coach ) would say. Right then I knew Dorian had to rethink his entire outlook and that if given the proper resources and tools, he would be able to come back into mainstream MMA and be devastating.”
Wallace continued, “Dorian had no formal ground training and like so many other great stand up fighters, was susceptible to the BJJ and Greco takedowns and GnP. Dorian, will go through extensive ground training, Judo and stand-up training, strength and conditioning training with WCM’s top resources such as Rob Kaman (9-time world kick boxing champ and trainer for BJ Penn, Brandon Vera, Hermes Franca) Physical By Dr. Carlon Colker ( Shaq, Andre Agassi’s MD ) Ground training with Professor’s Pedro and Gui Valente at the world renowned Miami Gracie Academy.”
“We have a few more resources we will open to Dorian that we cannot share with the public, but I guarantee when he returns, he will be one of the most exciting fighters in MMA”.
Here’s hoping the best for Dorian Price!
