The first meeting went 25 minutes between Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
This time around at UFC 193, Hunt needed less than four minutes to get his hand raised.
Hunt landed with a shot that floored Silva, earning himself his eighth career knockout finish. Hunt improved to 11-10-1 with the win and snapped a two-fight losing skid.
“It is satisfying,” said Hunt, who needed to land just 13 total strikes. “I am fit as a fiddle. I trained really hard at AKA Thailand.”
Hunt had former UFC fighter Mike Swick in his corner after training at AKA’s Thailand base for this fight.
For Silva, he is now 19-8-1 and just 1-3-1 over his last five.
