Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and he is the first fighter to unify the UFC and PRIDE championships of the same weight class; defeating PRIDE Middleweight Champion Dan Henderson at UFC 75, on September 7, 2007 in London, England, via unanimous decision.
Jackson won his first UFC light heavyweight championship when he defeated Chuck Liddell at UFC 71 in May of 2007. He successfully defended his title in the aforementioned bout with Henderson before losing the championship to Forrest Griffin by unanimous decision at UFC 86 in July of 2008.
Jackson engaged in a heated feud with fellow TUF 10 coach Rashad Evans. The two were scheduled to square off at the end of the season in December of 2009, however Jackson pulled out of the fight after accepting the role of B.A. Baracus in the big budget A-Team movie. After receiving flack from UFC President Dana White for accepting the role, Jackson anounced his retirement from the UFC. A couple of months later, he announced that he would return to face Evans. Jackson proceeded to face Evans at UFC 114 in May of 2010, losing to Evans via unanimous decision.
