Fedor Emelianenko is widely regarded as the one of the top 5 MMA fighter on the planet, regardless of weight. His only loss came as the result of a doctors' stoppage due to a cut and was avenged in brutal fashion. He has defeated a virtual "who's who" of heavyweight fighters including Andrei Arlovski, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (twice), Mark Hunt, Kevin Randleman, Mark Colman(twice), and Brett Rogers. On July 19, 2008, he defeated Tim Sylvia to become the first ever WAMMA heavyweight champion. He signed with Strikeforce in August of 2009 after negotiations with the UFC fell through.
