Donald Cerrone Planning To Follow Frankie Edgar To Featherweight Division

Donald Cerrone is going to take a page out of the book of Frankie Edgar, following the former UFC lightweight champion to the land of featherweights.

Cerrone is set to face Evan Dunham next month at UFC 167, but told the Denver Post during the UFC’s promotion tour that he will head down to 145 after that contest.

“Right now, my diet, I can eat what I want,” Cerrone said. “I’m not really disciplined on that side. If I tighten up what I eat and train a little harder, I’ll be fine.”

Cerrone (20-6) has posted a 7-3 UFC record since coming over from the WEC. After starting his Octagon career with wins in six of seven fights, though, he has lost two of his last three.
