Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz finally returned to action last year, putting himself right back in the hunt to wear the belt.
Just as quickly as that happened, though, “The Dominator” was sent back to the sidelines. On Thursday, he underwent surgery to fix his right knee and is expected to be out of action for the foreseeable future.
Surgery is now complete…next step is putting my head down and busting out the rehabilitation process. Big Thanx 2 everyone for the patience so far, including this time also now-I will be back in full form yet again, and will not disappoint. This is just another step in the story I am living and that I am great full for.Thank you all for sharing it with me.
The 29-year-old fought for the first time in almost three full years this past September, finishing Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 178. He has won his last 11 fights dating back to a 2007 submission loss to Urijah Faber.
