Diego Sanchez and Melvin Guillard were once training partners and teammates under the watchful eye of Greg Jackson in New Mexico.
Now, only Sanchez remains at Jackson-Winkeljohn, as the former Ultimate Fighter champion continues to battle in the UFC’s lightweight division.
After going toe-to-toe with Gilbert Melendez for three rounds, Sanchez was on the receiving end of some harsh words courtesy of Guillard, who faces Ross Pearson this weekend at UFC Fight Night 30.
Guillard claimed to have knocked Sanchez down several times in training sessions, to which “The Dream” replied sternly via Twitter.
“I’m not even gonna start with you OK,” he started. “Everybody at Jackson’s MMA know the truth your full of (expletive) Melv and never dropped me.”
Guillard did answer back, claiming his words were twisted, adding “that’s why I hate giving interviews…..what you expect me to say that (these) guys would wipe my (expletive).”
