Joseph Benavidez will get his chance at redemption in November when he faces UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale.
The bout was announced for the main event of the November 30 show in Las Vegas. Also, Nate Diaz meets Gray Maynard and TUF champions are crowned in both the male and female bantamweight divisions.
Johnson (18-2-1), the only man to hold the UFC title, has won four straight since a draw with Ian McCall in 2012. That includes a decision win over Benavidez in the tournament finals, along with successful defenses vs. John Dodson and John Moraga.
Benavidez (19-3) has won three straight since the split decision defeat to “Mighty Mouse.” He finished both Jussier Formiga and Darren Uyenoyama.
