The eye poke from K.J. Noons that ended his fight with Daron Cruickshank caused severe damage, as Cruickshank explained via Twitter.
The bout was stopped in the second round and declared a no-contest after the poke at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. It was widely-considered as a “Fight of the Night” contender and featured plenty of back-and-forth action in the opening round.

Noons apologized for the errant shot that ended it and wished Cruickshank a speedy recovery.
Sorry to @Cruickshank155 and fans. I did not mean to do eye poke. Hopefully he has fast recovery and we can do again. So bummed.
