Germany’s Daniel Weichel has signed with Bellator and will join the stacked featherweight division. The 31-8 fighter likes to go for the submission, taking 19 of his wins via that method.
“It’s like a dream come true fighting for Bellator MMA,” said Weichel. “I can´t wait to enter the cage and begin the toughest tournament out there. My hard work has paid off and you will get to see another beast at featherweight, I can promise that.”
The 28-year-old will debut in the next tournament, which will be closer to 2014. He’s riding three wins out of MFC and M-1.
The featherweight division already includes champion Pat Curran, Daniel Straus and Patricio Pitbull.
