Daniel Cormier let a little bit of information out via social media Monday night, revealing that the date for his UFC light heavyweight title fight vs. Jon Jones is set.
Cormier, though, did not let the entire cat out of the bag, just saying that he does “know the date and it is Jones.”
Yes I do know the date and it is jones. I requested him! No one else would be acceptable! https://t.co/UQT3zObY4K

Last January, Jones defended the title vs. Cormier, but was stripped after being charged for a hit-and-run in New Mexico. “DC” went on to claim the belt with a victory over Anthony Johnson, defending it vs. Alexander Gustafsson.
Initially, the UFC appeared set to go with Cormier-Jones in 2016 in New York, but they are still working to become legal in the state. The champion has also stated that he does not wish to fight “Bones” in his home state.
