Conor McGregor caused a bit of a flurry like only “Notorious” can do in the early morning hours, saying he was stepping in to face Diego Sanchez in November at UFC 180.
McGregor defeated Dustin Poirier this past weekend for his fourth Octagon victory, receiving a loud ovation in Las Vegas despite being miles away from his Irish home.
I am fighting @DiegoSanchezUFC in Mexico, November 15th. He spoke a big game. Now he will pay with his career. VIVA LA EIRE!!!

UFC president Dana White, though, told ESPN that McGregor-Sanchez is not happening at the Mexico City card. Sanchez is still currently booked to fight Norman Parke, another fighter from Europe and a teammate of McGregor’s.
“The kid is nuts,” White said. “No, he’s not. He wants to, but he’s not.”
