UFC president Dana White went off on Twitter over reports from numerous MMA sites that Dan Henderson would be facing Daniel Cormier in July at UFC 175.
White immediately responded to a post about the fight being “signed” by stating that was not true late Monday night, and he continued to deny the fight being official.
“Hendo vs. Cormier isn’t a done deal and not even close,” White wrote. “Some reporters like to be 1st instead of being right.”
He also wrote that “any announcement (Tuesday) would be a complete waste of time!!! So see u all on Wednesday,” which is when UFC Tonight airs.
White even mentioned that Ryan Bader, who has been rumored as an opponent for both Cormier and Henderson, could still be inserted into the fight.
