UFC president Dana White revealed that Cris Cyborg will be fighting this July at UFC 214, an opponent is just yet to be determined.
During “UFC Unfiltered,” White said Cyborg has agreed to compete at the July 29 event from the Honda Center in Anaheim. On Wednesday, Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson was booked for a bout with Helena Kolesnyk, taking her off the table as a possible opponent.
“Cris ‘Cyborg’ is definitely fighting on the July 29 card in Anaheim,” White said. “We’re still working on (an opponent).”
Cyborg has been very vocal in regards to wanting to meet Anderson or UFC featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie. She also made headlines for her attack on Angela Magana at the recent UFC Athlete Retreat in Las Vegas.
The event currently features Jon Jones challenging Daniel Cormier for the light heavyweight title.
