Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was in an incredible amount of pain following his loss to Chris Weidman at UFC 168.
Silva threw a leg kick that Weidman checked, leaving “The Spider” with an obvious broken left leg. He immediately hit the canvas and was screaming in agony as medics carted him to the back.
UFC president Dana White stated during the post-fight press conference that Silva was already on his way to the hospital to undergo surgery with the UFC doctor.
“He’s an incredible human being,” said White, of Silva, during the post-fight press conference. “Maybe he’ll want to make a comeback. We’ll see what happens.”
White added that he “stayed away” from Silva after the injury, saying “he was in no shape to talk to anyone.”
