While there’ no exact details about The Ultimate Fighter: China, UFC president Dana White said he has a replacement to fill his spot when the show hits the Asian market. White has UFC middleweight Cung Le taking over the boss role in the show.
White isn’t sure if Le would appear on any episodes, as his job is to remind the fighters why they are in the house and to act properly. Le will not be one of the coaches.
“TUF China is happening,” said White. “[Cung Le] is going to be the ‘me’ in China. He’s there to remind everyone why they’re there and what’s going on. He was in the office two days ago and I walked him through everything with The Ultimate Fighter and he’s ready to go.”
Le is 41-years-old and hasn’t fought in about a year. His last trip inside the Octagon was a win over Rich Franklin. Le would later get Knockout of the Night for the win out of China.
The coaches for this international installment haven’t been revealed. TUF: Australia vs. Canada is currently in the tryout stage.
