Cris Cyborg found out first-hand there is a difference between finding success inside the cage and in the ring.
Cyborg lost a decision to Jorina Baars Friday night in the co-main event of Lion Fight 14, as Baars became the female welterweight champion. Cyborg has stated she is planning to try and cut down to bantamweight to potentially sign with the UFC and meet Ronda Rousey.
“Logical and everyone gets sad when he loses! But I love my job, I love to fight the fight took Jorina’s I do not choose opponent,” she posted on Facebook after the loss. “I’m ready for any battle! Victory and defeat is consequence! Certainly learned a lot from that fight. So I have to thank God and all my fans who support me. I can not control victory or defeat but I can try to make the best fight of the night.”
The event also featured Gregory Choplin besting Marco Pique in a battle of champions. The main card aired on AXS TV and you can see the highlights below.
