It was a happy birthday for Court McGee Saturday at UFC 194, as “The Crusher” returned and earned a decision over Marcio Alexandre, Jr.
McGee, a former Ultimate Fighter winner, was sidelined with a series of injuries over the last two years. This fight took place two days short of his last appearance in 2013.
“I feel so incredible,” McGee said. “I love this sport. I love my life; I love it.”
Early on, Alexandre appeared to have McGee figured out, but the veteran admitted that always happens. He is now 3-1 in his last four overall, losing only a decision to Ryan LaFlare.
“Guys start missing,” McGee said. “I’m not as sharp in the first round, but give me enough time and I’ll figure you out.”
