UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was offered a spot in the upcoming blockbuster “xXx” that ultimately went to Michael Bisping.
During a conference call on Friday, McGregor said he turned down the role to focus on his UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz.
“I should get a cut of that (from Bisping),” McGregor said. “I didn’t even get a thank you. That was my role.”
McGregor said that he met with members of the film crew, including director D.J. Caruso, before his late-2015 bout with Jose Aldo.
“I said I’ll do the film,” McGregor said. “Then, after the (Diaz) fight, I rang him up and said, ‘I can’t go into this film because I need to focus and do what got me here in the first place.”
UFC 202 takes place August 20 from Las Vegas and the T-Mobile Arena.
