Frankie Edgar is not going to be happy.
According to a report by MMAFighting.com, a rematch between UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz at welterweight is being finalized for the mega UFC 200 event this July.
Earlier this month, Diaz secured a convincing second round submission victory over McGregor. The fight was put together on short notice, as Diaz stepped in for lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.
Edgar has waited for his shot at the belt since a win last year over Chad Mendes, while former champion Jose Aldo is also pushing for a rematch with “Notorious.”
Currently, the UFC 200 card boasts Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne and Gegard Mousasi vs. Derek Brunson for the T-Mobile Arena on July 9.
