Conor McGregor knows that the fight game isn’t just about what you do inside the cage.
While “Notorious” isn’t going to stop talking trash and promoting himself, he does know a good fight when he sees it – even if he’s called out both competitors numerous times.
McGregor was Octagon-side Saturday night to witness Jose Aldo’s successful UFC featherweight title defense at UFC 179 over Chad Mendes. He appeared on the FOX Sports 2 post-fight show to discuss the bout.
“It was a phenomenal contest,” McGregor said. “I have so much respect for both of them.”
For now, McGregor is set to meet Dennis Siver in January, but he was asked how a match up with Aldo might go if paired up.
“He showed his heart and will in there,” McGregor said. “He showed his frustration, as well.
“I feel if I connect, it will end. That’s the difference between me and them.”
