Phil “CM Punk” Brooks will train with UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, ONE FC welterweight champion Ben Askren and others at Roufusport in Milwaukee.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the previous report during an appearance on “FOX Sports Live” on Tuesday. The camp is headed by Duke Roufus and also boasts the likes of Matt Mitrione and Ben Rothwell.
“He’s picked a training camp,” White said. “I’m pretty sure he’s going to be training with Anthony Pettis and his team. We’re just going to see how he progresses in training and then we’ll go from there (for his debut).”
Brooks is a former WWE champion, but has no MMA experience. He has trained with several of the Gracie brothers.
