Two of Anderson Silva’s biggest rivals had interesting takes after the news of his year-long suspension and fine were handed down by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Chris Weidman, who knocked out Silva to win the UFC middleweight title in 2013 and bested him when “The Spider” broke his leg later this year, posted the following on Twitter:
People forgive people who are honest about their mistakes. Everyone is a screw up at the end of the day. It's relatable. Truth sets u free.

Chael Sonnen, who had two highly-talked about fights with Silva, seemed more interested in finishing the trilogy. Sonnen retired after his own failed drug tests.
