UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman comes from the sport of wrestling.
So, what better way to kick-start his training camp for UFC 184 than with a return to his roots. Weidman faces Vitor Belfort in February for the title.
He headed to Hofstra for some work with the college wrestlers and also the Canadian national team. Weidman has defeated Brazilians in each of his past three fights, topping Anderson Silva twice and Lyoto Machida last year.
Today is the start of my camp to defend my title once again and I'm realizing how blessed Iam to be in this situation. I love what I do! God has some big plans for me and I'm excited to see what the future holds. I appreciate all the support u guys give me. Thank you! Started the camp off right with some wrestling at Hofstra.. Canadian national team was in town also so some great work. #ufc184
