Chael Sonnen might be thinking twice about all the negative remarks he made about Brazil. He’s set to coach alongside Wanderlei Silva on The Ultimate Fighter from South America.
“I was more concerned with the possibility of lynching, maybe knife attack,” said Sonnen to Fighters Only. “But yeah I think [getting shot] is possible. Because I am a gangster, I don’t live with fear. I do whatever I want, wherever I want. [Dana White] suggested very sophisticated [security] measures, more than I could have suggested.”
Before Sonnen takes on Silva, he fights Rashad Evans at UFC 167. He’s spent the last year as light heavyweight, though has teased a middleweight return.
Silva defeated Brian Stann this year to take Knockout of the Night and Fight of the Night. He will return inside the Octagon next year.
No exact details about their season have been disclosed.
