Carlos Condit was in noticeable pain as he left the Octagon with help from his coaches Saturday night at UFC 171.
Condit, who winced when Tyron Woodley took him down and patted his right knee, crumbled to the canvas after Woodley swept out his left leg.
Woodley earned the TKO victory, and Condit’s coach believes the fighter suffered a torn ACL.
In a text message sent to MMAjunkie.com, Mike Winkeljohn stated the initial diagnosis is a small meniscus tear and a possible torn ACL. The former interim UFC champion would be looking at several months of rehab and recovery if that is the case.
Reports out of Dallas stated the swelling was too great shortly after the fight to get an examination done and confirm the extent of the injury.
