Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is recovering as hoped following surgery in January.
Velasquez, though, isn’t thinking about returning to action inside the Octagon before 2018.
The last time the 35-year-old fought was at UFC 200 in 2016 when he finished Travis Browne in the first round. Velasquez is 14-2 overall and 5-1 in his last six.
