The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 runner-up Brendan Schaub will be sticking around the UFC a little bit longer. The heavyweight made the following announcement on his Twitter account:
“Gonna be in the @ufc a lil longer signed new 6 fight deal w/ @danawhite today”
The exact details of the new deal weren’t made public. For a picture of UFC president Dana White with Schaub and the new deal, click here.
Schaub, a former pro football player, was 4-3 at the end of last year. A decision win against Lavar Johnson and a first round submission over his friend Matt Mitrione was enough to impress the UFC. Of his 10 career wins, eight have come via stoppage.
No word on Schaub’s return to the Octagon.
