A planned heavyweight championship rematch between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko has been scrapped for a second time.
According to a report by the Associated Press, Fury’s management team says he has been “declared medically unfit to fight.” He was scheduled to defend his WBA, WBO and IBF titles against Klitschko on October 29 from Manchester.
Last year, Fury beat Klitschko in Germany in a stunning upset. The two were originally scheduled for July 9, but an ankle injury by the champion forced that bout to be called off.
Shortly after, it was reported that Fury failed a drug test from UKADA for a banned substance. The ban was lifted pending a full determination of charges.
