Former world champions Amir Khan and Chris Algieri will square off in the main event of tonight’s Premier Boxing Champions card on Spike TV.
The action begins at 9 p.m. ET from Brooklyn and the Barclays Center with Javier Fortuna vs. Bryan Vasquez. Original plans called for Paulie Malignaggi and Danny O’Connor to fight, but Malignaggi suffered a cut in training.
Fortuna (27-0-1) has scored 20 career knockouts, while Vasquez (35-1) owns 18 finishes.
Khan (30-3) is a former WBA, WBA super, and IBF light welterweight champion who won silver at the 2004 Summer Olympics. His opponent, Algieri, suffered his first pro loss in 21 fights to Manny Pacquiao this past November.
