The World Series of Fighting (WSOF) has shown interest in signing former UFC middleweight title contender Yushin Okami. As for Bellator, it appears not so much.
Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney isn’t rushing to sign the Japanese fighter.
“He’s an entertaining fighter – obviously, has had a little bit of a skid as of late,” said Rebney. “I really haven’t given it much consideration. I did hear about it because I’m on Twitter and I read everything, but I don’t really have a definitive statement of a yay or a nay.”
Okami was sent packing by the UFC last week. He went 13-5 during his seven year stay with the promotion. He’s coming off a first round defeat of Ronaldo Souza at UFC Fight Night 28.
At this time, WSOF hasn’t confirmed any deal with Okami.
