Bellator MMA officials announced that they have signed heavyweight Bobby Lashley to a contract extension.
Lashley (12-2) has won both of his bouts with the promotion via submission, including a first round finish vs. Karl Etherington last year. Overall, the 38-year-old is on a five-fight win streak and is 7-1 in his last eight.
“I’ve had two fights with Bellator, and I’m happy to be calling the promotion my home,” Lashley said. “Scott Coker and the company have really reignited my desire to fight and I’m looking forward to a huge year with some dominant wins.”
Lashley, who also competes for TNA Impact Wrestling where he is the heavyweight champion, trains out of American Top Team in Florida.
