Bellator 153: Andrey Koreshkov Dominates Benson Henderson in Latter’s Bellator Debut

Andrey Koreshkov

Benson Henderson’s Bellator debut proved to be a rough one, as the former UFC lightweight champ was badly outgunned by welterweight champ, Andrey Koreshkov.

The two squared off in the main event of Bellator 153, which took place in Uncasville, Connecticut. Koreshkov cracked Henderson with big kicks, knee and punches throughout the bout, who in turn, was largely unable to launch any offense of his own. Henderson showed a ton of heart, and a granite chin, but lost all five rounds, and was handed the unanimous decision loss.

After the bout, Henderson said he would talk to Bellator brass about what’s next, and that he wants to fight again, ASAP.
