An interesting middleweight contest highlights Bellator 146 Friday night, as Melvin Manhoef squares off against Hisaki Kato.
Set for Spike TV and the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, five fights in all will comprise the main card.
Manhoef (29-12) hasn’t scored an official win since 2014, as he lost to Joe Schilling and had a no-contest vs. Alexander Shlemenko. However, he holds an incredible 27 knockout victories among his 29 career wins, and is always a threat to add to that.
Kato (5-1) made a sterling debut with Bellator in June when he knocked Schilling out with a Superman punch. In all, every one of his six pro fights have ended in either a KO win for the 33-year-old or a knockout loss.
