Bellator 144 Predictions: Who Claims The Middleweight Title?

Brandon Halsey never lost the Bellator middleweight title inside the cage.

Now, he’ll get an opportunity to claim it back Friday night when he meets Rafael Carvalho in the main event of Bellator 144.

Set from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, the main card airs live on Spike TV after early online prelims.

Halsey was stripped of the belt earlier this year after failing to make weight. He went on to defeat Kendall Grove that night to improve to 9-0.

Carvalho has reeled off 11 consecutive pro wins since losing his first fight, including Bellator victories over Joe Schilling and Brian Rogers.

Along with the title fight, planned main card bouts include Brennan Ward-Dennis Olson, Goiti Yamauchi-Isao Kobayashi and Michael Page-Charlie Ontiveros.

The original main event for the card was to feature Eduardo Dantas vs. Marcos Galvao.
