A pair of former Bellator champions will be in action Friday night at Bellator 139, as Alexander Volkov and Pat Curran highlight the Spike TV main card.
Set from the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas, Volkov collides with Cheick Kongo in the main event.
Volkov (24-5) dropped the title back in 2013 with a first round TKO loss to Vitaly Minakov, reeling off five consecutive wins after. However, this past April, he was on the losing end of a split decision to Tony Johnson.
Kongo (22-10-2) has posted a 4-2 mark with Bellator since leaving the UFC back in 2013, but is coming off a split decision defeat of his own vs. former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.
Along with Volkov-Kongo, Curran will take on Emmanuel Sanchez in a featherweight contest, David Rickels faces John Alessio and Joe Schilling opens the main card vs. Hisaki Kato.
Complete fight-by-fight predictions can be found below. All of the action begins online at 7 p.m. ET, with televised bouts starting at 9 p.m. ET.
