The 2015 debut of Bellator MMA takes place Friday night with Bellator 132, and weigh-ins for the event went down earlier today.
In the headline act, Patricio “Pitbull” Freire defends his featherweight title against former champion Daniel Straus.
“You want to know something, I am going to raise the level of competition here and no one is going to be able to beat me in this sport,” Freire said. “(Saturday) Straus is going to have a problem.”
Freire weighed in at 144.3 pounds for the contest, while Straus tipped the scales at 143.4.
“I am all there mentally and I’ve been there for the past eight weeks and beyond that,” Straus said. “I couldn’t be more ready for tomorrow.”
Derek Anderson was the lone fighter to miss weight, coming in almost a full-pound heavy for his prelim bout. He eventually weighed in again, hitting 156.
Main card action begins at 9 p.m. ET on Spike TV following a full prelim lineup online.
