Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko will try to get the taste of defeat out of his mouth this Friday night when he returns to action against Brandon Halsey in the main event of Bellator 126.
Last time Shlemenko was inside the cage, he lost via submission to Tito Ortiz. The bout did not take place at 185 pounds, a weight class he has controlled in Bellator. Halsey won a recent tournament title to secure a shot at taking down the champion.
Patricky Pitbull and Marcin Held will comprise the co-main event, meeting in the finals of the lightweight tournament. Former NCAA wrestling champion Bubba Jenkins is also slated for action.
