Douglas Lima vs. Rick Hawn for the vacant Bellator welterweight title
It’s time to crown a new welterweight champion, as Douglas Lima (25-5) takes on Rick Hawn (18-2).
Round 1: Lima cutting off the cage to start, backing Hawn into a corner. But Hawn quickly fires out. Again, Lima trying to trap him against the fence, and again, Hawn slips free. Hawn fakes a takedown. Straight left lands from Lima. Lima drops Hawn, who wants this to go to the ground. Lima wants none of it and forces Hawn back to his feet. Hawn appears to have injured his left leg, as it gave out. Lima lands a knee to the face right before Hawn hits the canvas and he is in attack mode. Just seconds left and Lima is firing on all cylinders.

Round 2: Lima stalking Hawn like a wounded lion, but he appears good. Right back to the kicks is Lima, damaging that lead leg. There is already some swelling and redness, as Hawn shoots for a takedown. Hawn’s leg is really bothering him and Lima traps him against the fence again. Lima sweeps the leg and Hawn goes to the ground. Lima is going to leave his mark on Hawn’s leg no doubt. Again, he sweeps him to the canvas and the whole outer side of Hawn’s leg is red. Head kick just gets blocked by Hawn. Hawn collapses again and can’t get up. This one is all over, and we have a new welterweight champion.
