Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko will look to improve to 11-1 with the promotion this November when he faces Doug Marshall in the main event of Bellator 108.
Officials announced the card for November 15 from the Revel Atlantic City in New Jersey. The main card airs on Spike TV.
Shlemenko (48-7) won the title this past February with a win over Maiquel Falcao. He successfully defended it vs. Brett Cooper, who replaced Marshall.
Marshall (18-6) was forced out of the title-fight with an injury, but is ready to face the Russian, who has won 11 in a row.
“I’m super excited about this fight,” Marshall stated. “I was bummed when I had to watch Brett Cooper take my spot because of my injury, but after watching the fight, I was able to see that there is no way Shlemenko can beat me. The only thing Shlemenko has is that he is tough. There is no doubt in my mind that I am the most powerful middleweight in the division. As soon as Shlemenko feels my fist on the side of his face, he will be sleeping on the mat. Winning this fight is a no-brainer for me.”
