Tom DuQuesnoy, the reigning BAMMA featherweight champion, has agreed to a contract extension with the promotion.
DuQuesnoy’s next title defense is expected to be announced shortly. He won the inaugural title with a victory over Teddy Violet at BAMMA 15, and has also downed James Saville for the British promotion.
“I had offers from all over the globe, but I have chosen to stay with BAMMA. They are the most exciting promotion in Europe and they are making some very big statements on where they are headed,” he said. “It’s exciting for me to be able to showcase my skills on the biggest and the best platform in Europe. Their new TV deal with Spike TV allows me to prove myself to the biggest audience possible.
“I am very happy with the BAMMA team as well, who made this choice easy for me to decide on. I look forward to taking on all the challengers from around Europe. I earned this belt and it is my intention to defend and keep it.”
