Andrei Arlovski is back after breaking his jaw earlier in the year. The heavyweight is 2-1 for the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) and knows he isn’t anywhere near the top of the list.
“I’m in a line,” said Arlovski to Sherdog. “I’m not in the Top 15, maybe the Top 20. Take it step by step.”
If the former UFC heavyweight champ wants anoher chance inside the Octagon, he’s going to need several more wins before the promotion takes another look. Arlovski hasn’t competed for the UFC since 2008.
Before anything else, Arlovski must complete his WSOF contract. While nothing is official, there has been talk of him challenging the person who broke his jaw in March.
That injury came from Anthony Johnson, in what was Arlovski’s only WSOF defeat. Johnson later got injured over the summer and has no confirmed return.
The heavyweight division is lacking names in the WSOF and their rematch could only be a matter of time.
