Andreas Spang Latest Fighter Pulled From Bellator 98 By Commission

Bellator is back with live events as Season 9 starts today. The Bellator 98 card was shaken in the last day as two fighters were deemed medically unfit to compete.

Yesterday, Joe Warren was removed by the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation and Andreas Spang is the latest fighter to be pulled. Spang’s middleweight tournament spot went to Brennan Ward, who meets Justin Torrey in the opening bracket.

Ward’s prelim opponent Dave Vitkay has been removed altogether from Bellator 98.

The medical details of Spang and Warren weren’t disclosed.

Bellator 98 comes from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. The main card airs on Spike TV at 8 p.m. ET and prelims can be seen on at 6 p.m. ET.
